Important announcement! It is recommended to book an appointment well in advance,
at least one month before the date of departure, specially during the high
season as the slots available are limited at the Embassy.
The Embassy of France in Kiev is competent for:

Ukrainian citizens

Legal permanent residents in Ukraine (for a minimum intended stay of at least 6
months)
The Embassy of France in Ukraine will not issue visa to Ukrainian citizens who
live permanently outside of Ukraine. Please contact the Embassy of France in
your country of residence.
FOR GROUPS:
Please note that 6 and more Applicants traveling on the same date for the same
purpose will be considered as a group.

Please note that the embassy examines documents of 10 people per week, so you have submit group documents in advance, depending on the amount of people in your group (a week for 10 people, 2 weeks for 20 people etc). For the groups of more than 40 people a maximum delay - 4 weeks.

The service fee of 50 hryvnas is to be paid per each member of the group.

Group documents have to be submitted to the Embassy by one group
representative.

Group appointments can only be made by calling the Call Centre.
The following people do not need to book their appointment through the Call
Center/website and can submit the documents without prior scheduled appointment
during embassy working days (8:30-11:15):

Spouses of France citizens who were married in France or their marriage is
registered by the Consulate (please note that documents of children of spouses
of France citizens need to be submitted upon prior scheduled appointment)

Travelers in emergency cases (e. g. but not limited to: funeral, urgent medical
treatment)

Applicants who already have the permission from the French Labor Authorities or
family reunion request through OFII
Starting from April 2008 travel insurances can only be bought in
accredited insurance companies.

Effective 01st of July 2010 the Contact Center Service charge is 50 hryvnas (Inclusive of VAT) per applicant. This charge is independent from the Visa Fees (which are supposed to be paid directly at the Embassy).
The Service charge is supposed to be paid before scheduling the appointment. It
is not refundable and must be paid in cash at any of the branches of
PromInvestBank. Please go to http://www.pib.com.ua/
